In March we studied The African Savanna, Dr. Seuss, St. Patrick’s Day and rainbows! We are so proud of the children’s open mindedness to try new foods and languages this month. Thank you to the parents that brought in food and items for our Spring Party. The children enjoyed the egg hunt. For enrichment we read several books in Spanish, we made “green eggs and ham”, and enjoyed creating moves to music from Africa and making African masks. Our garden was also revamped this month by our Primary classrooms putting in the hard work and love to make it flourish!
Our focus in April will be the Planet Earth and Islands and Volcanos. There will be several discussions and projects pertaining to volcanos. We are looking forward to an EXPLOSIVE month full of knowledge and adventure.
Our school is very excited to talk, learn and read about nature and the importance of taking care planet earth. Earth Day is Thursday, April 22nd and we would like to help create awareness of the environment and how we treat nature. Each classroom will be creating something out of recycled materials so if you would like to bring something in from home please let your child’s teacher know. We will also be celebrating the Week of the Young Child and holding our annual book fair the week of April 12th – 16th. Thank you in advance for all that you do and for always participating and making your child feel special!
