Happy Spring! April was filled with lots of fun for the children. We spoke to the children about our planet Earth, we learned about land and water on our globe and painted the ocean and land. We also talked about the continent of Australia and the many different animals that live there. They loved learning about the kangaroos, koalas, and marsupials.
The children had so much fun doing all of the activities for The Week of the Young Child. We made trail mix as a special cooking activity. We played “keepy uppy” with ballons during circle time. We also had fun sharing musical instruments and practicing playing to the rhythm of our songs. The children enjoyed arranging flowers and taking care of the plants they brought in. Our book of the month was Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, we painted the first letters of our names.
March Recap
March was a busy month in room 3. We have been learning about South America and the Rainforest. At circle time we discussed the different animals that make their home in the Rainforest and talked about the climate of the Rainforest. We had fun celebrating Dr. Suess and St. Patrick’s Day. We had a blast hunting for eggs during our Spring Egg Hunt. We thought the book One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish by Dr. Suess was so silly.
Some of our favorite jobs this month included scooping eggs and zipping a zipper. We had fun talking about pictures of the Rainforest and South America from our wall display. We sponge painted blue and red fish in celebration of Dr. Suess' birthday and we did marble painting on shamrocks. We practiced stamping our letter of the week and naming things that began with those letters.

December Recap
December has gone by quickly for Room 3. The children enjoyed exploring all the new materials on the shelves and welcoming new friends to our class, welcome to Ayla and Calvin. It was wonderful to have all of you participate in our Annual Toddler Family Sing-Along. The children had fun sharing the things they brought for our Holiday party and enjoyed all our special dress-up days. We had a great time watching the children work together to decorate our classroom tree. This month’s book is The Giving Tree, reminding us that giving can be just as fulfilling as receiving as we continue to learn how to take turns with our friends and how to show empathy when our friends are upset or sad.
Our theme this month was Seasons and Holidays. We talked about the weather when we played outside on the playground and introduced different holiday traditions with picture cards. We focused on fine motor-skills in the Practical Life area with ornament pouring, posting buttons, and matching nuts & bolts. In Math and Sensorial we introduced triangles; we did triangle sponge painting; triangle counting and featured the triangles we have in our classroom. We also introduced the letters/sound L, M, and N. Ornament pouring and bell spooning were our favorite jobs this month.

Hello Belltower families thank you for welcoming me and having me be a part of your child’s learning journey. I look forward to watching them grow and learn so much this school year.
In November we learned about Harvest and Healthy Bodies. We read the book Fill a Bucket and have been practicing filling our friends' buckets by taking turns with our jobs. We had lots of changes this month including getting a new teacher, Ms. Nicole. We were excited for our older friends to move to Pre-primary with Ms. Ony.

Summer 2023
Summertime was a success in Classroom 3. We started week 1 in July by celebrating the USA. The second week we explored underwater adventures learning about ocean animals and having fun with water activities. The water slide was a “hit” with the little ones, of course, they could not get enough of the water play. In the third week, we fly high into space, getting to know the planets and the stars up in the galaxy. An astronaut (Ms. Ony) visited us that week. In the fourth week, a volcano was created step by step; we made the volcano and waited for the process of drying. We painted it, waited again for it to dry, and then we saw it erupt by adding vinegar and baking soda. The children enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. In the fifth week, we had fun naming all the farm animals and dancing to farm songs. It was a fun-filled month!
In the month of August, we went on an adventure through the woods. We went camping and bear hunting. The classroom was created as a camping site and the children enjoyed using the binoculars to search for bears and birds, they asked for the Bear Hunt song again and again. They spend time resting in their sleeping bag and going fishing. The fun did not stop there as in the second week we celebrated the Carnival. The children enjoyed the bubble event as well as the games. Spirit week was a fun week, Iron Man (Ms. Ony) came to visit us on Superhero Day. The weather change made us reschedule a few things but overall, the children enjoyed working with different materials and engaged in the new activities. Popsicles were the perfect treat to end the month of August.
