October Blog 2021

October Recap and November Blog.

We had a spooktacular month in October! It was so rewarding to see the children enjoying themselves as we entered the Fall season along with Halloween vibes. We had a variety of Fall inspired activities in each of the classrooms. The children enjoyed being able to come in their costumes and participate in our annual costume parade. The costumes were very creative and colorful. We want to thank you for your kind donations for the Halloween party and costume parade. The children were so excited! Thank you for participating in our fall book fair. We were able to get several books for each classroom with the proceeds. We were delighted to continue building our school library, and we appreciated every family who donated to our shelves.

Our Enrichment program included computers, cooking, music, art, and Spanish. We made pumpkin fluff and trail mix for cooking. We listened to the composer, Camille-Sait-Saens, famous for the Carnival of the Animals, and studied Picasso. Our garden looked as beautiful as ever, and each classroom had been nurturing our garden full of herbs, flowers, and veggies. We are anticipating harvesting them soon to use throughout our classrooms.

November has just rolled on in, and we are thankful for so many things in our lives! As days get shorter and nights get longer, please remember to speak with your child/ren about the change that will take place as it will become darker earlier. As the weather becomes cooler, please remember to bring a warm change of clothes and label everything.

Some important dates to remember for November are:

November 3rd – 4th  Parent-Teacher conferences (we will be closing at 3 pm for both days)

November 11th – School Closed for Veterans Day

November 24th – Harvest Feast (child-only event)

November 25th – 26th – School Closed for Thanksgiving Break

We will start our See’s Candy Fundraiser sometime this month. Keep an eye out for future information. We are very thankful for having such amazing families, and we truly do appreciate everything you all do!
