January 2020

January Recap:

January began with some much-needed time off. The children took time to readjust to school and we were happy to have everyone return and get back into school mode. January was filled with discussions about snow, winter weather, animals and hibernation. The children were excited to study polar bears, penguins and other animals that hibernate. They were especially interested in animals that hibernated in caves! Our book of the month, The Mitten, was a huge success! We were also able to study Martin Luther King Jr.’s "I Have a Dream" which brought out discussions of freedom.

We would also like to thank our parents for your commitment to our program. Your continued dedication to ensuring our program runs smoothly is much appreciated. Our snack host program is a great opportunity for direct involvement in assuring the children eat a healthy snack each morning. Once again, thank you for all you do!
